NEW Series 6

Our new blade hits the
water for the first time

Blade Layup Construction Summary
The Construction of the blade is one of the fundamental parts of how a paddle works.
A lot of time and effort is put into Research and Development on how a blade performs
under different water conditions. It is one of the most important parts when deciding what
paddle is right for you. As we race and paddle in so many different conditions,
a simple change in the way the blades have been constructed can made all the difference

SR - Construction
Alison
The "SR" Layup is the perfect construction for surf racing.
It has been designed to provide maximum strength in both directions,
To handle the extreme stresses place on paddles in the surf break.
It has been a proven layup for many years and with our R&D program,
This is constantly improving with the advances in raw materials

KW - Construction
The "KW" layup was developed by Ken Wallace for use in
his surf paddles. The construction has 3 flex points.
This enables the blade to hold maximum water where the stroke
is inconsistent, due to the water movement in surf racing.
The layup has less back blade flex than the "SR" so is recommended
for the more experienced paddlers

CR - Construction
Clint Robinson The "CR" layup was developed by Clint Robinson
for use in all his paddles. The construction has unique flex points.
This enables the blade to flex into the
optimum shape, when extreme loads are placed upon the face of the
blade, to gain maximum power from every stroke.
The layup has less back blade flex than the "SR" and "KW"
so is recommended for the most experienced paddlers

FC - Construction
Sharlene The "FC" Layup consists of a central foam core.
This provides a very light weight and stiff construction.
Our latest released Series 6 paddles are only produced using this method,
As we have found this to be the best construction for this shape.
The use of this method produces consistency in blade feel but does
not allow for much customization in directional flex
